What Vardion is
Vardion runs the ΕΑΚ's assessments, finds what a company exposes to the internet and ranks it by what attackers exploit, in Greek and English.
Why it exists
Law 5160/2024 and KYA 1689/2025 ask essential and important entities in Greece for security measures, evidence that they are in place and a self-assessment sent to the National Cybersecurity Authority (ΕΑΚ) every year. Most tools cover either the documents or the scans. Vardion joins the two: it runs the ΕΑΚ's assessments in the authority's format and puts what the scans found on the company's internet-facing systems beside each answer.
That is why Vardion carries the ΕΑΚ gap analysis and self-assessment in their original text, policy drafts for the KYA in Greek and a ranked list of findings, for the team that makes the fix.
Where it runs
- On your own server: the whole console, scans included, on a Linux server with Docker. The data stays with you and Vardion receives none of it.
- On the hosted console: the security programme, the assessments, the email and DNS checks and imported results, in an OVHcloud data centre in Germany. The hosted console sends no scan to your servers.
The security page sets out the deployment, the data and every outbound connection. The data processing agreement names every subprocessor.
